The campgrounds at Hanmer Springs are a great spot to park up for a night or two. With so much to do in and around Hanmer Springs, it's a favourite destination for many!

Molesworth Station is just up the road, which provides an excellent day trip exploring the upper lakes of Molesworth. 

Also from Hanmer Springs there is the beautiful drive through to Kaikoura on the Inland Road. This takes about 2 hours from Hanmer Springs, and is a quiet narrow road through some beautiful countryside.

Hanmer Springs has their famous Hot Pools, which is a glorious spot to unwind, especially on a cold day.
