What types of cars do you have available?
We only have Suzuki Jimnys, all have automatic transmissions.
Where can i take a Jimny
You can take one of our Jimnys anywhere in New Zealand, but these are not permitted to take offroad. These are perfect for exploring the gravel roads of Otago, the beautiful scenery of the Port Hills or the fantastic small towns of the West Coast.
What comes in the Adventure Bundle?
Whether you're wanting to rent a Jimny for a weekend or a month, our Adventure Bundle is going to turn your Jimny into a camping machine! We can even provide you with a warm sleeping bag and comfortble pillow.
How do I fit the snow chains?
Fitting the snow chains is pretty straight forward, we've made sure to provide the easiest available snow chains to include in our Ski Package. We've made a really helpful video and put it on our website HERE.
How many KMs per day can we do?
The KMs are not unlimited, but we do allow a very generous 250km per day, which is a lot of driving to do each day. After that, we just have a small charge of $0.40 per km. This is based on an average per day rate, so for example if you have the car for 10 days, you'll be able to do 2,500km in total before paying any extra.
Can i pick up from queenstown?
Yes we have pickup available from Queenstown and Christchurch. Please go through our reservation process with your prefered dates to see what cars are available from the Queenstown location.
Queenstown pickup is a 15 minute walk from the airport terminal. Alternatively an Uber or taxi is a cheap and easy option.
Are snow chains included in the colder months?
Can I bring my own insurance?
There really is no need, but you certainly can, that's no trouble at all. We've written more details about this HERE.
Is pricing seasonal?
Yes, our rental cars have a reduced winter rate which is built into our booking system. Please enter your preferred travel dates, and our system will show you the best possible rates.
Where is the pickup location?
Our depot is near the CBD in Christchurch. It's about a $40 Uber trip from the airport.
If you're picking up from the airport, we will meet you at the airport with your car.
Can I pick up a car outside business hours?
Yes absolutely, we can have a key in a lockbox for you, so you can collect the car outside business hours. If you're picking up from the airport, the car will just be about a 15 minute walk from the terminal.
